 | Wifite is a build-in Kali wireless hacking tool. It is very user-friendly and does not require much technical knowledge to use it since all the attack methods (WPS pin attack, WEP/WPA handshake attack) is handle by Wifite. |

1. Boot into your Kali. If you do not know how to boot Kali from USB, Please Click Here.
2. Open Terminal from the left panel. Type Wifite.
3. A beautiful Wifite wizard will be displayed and start scanning over all the available networks.
4. Press "Ctrl + C" if you want to stop the scanning. Now select which network to attack by typing the number that represents the WiFi SSID.
5. If you saw this screen, "failed to associate with router MAC address" which mean that it is unable to crack the router WPS key by using Wifite WPS attack as most of the modern routers come with the newer firmware with mechanisms that will block WPS attack by default. For example:

For some networks with WEP authentication, Wifite will also able to crack the Wifi password. For example:
Keys to Success
- Target router with WPS enabled.
- Target router without WPS lockout security.
- Wifi adapter with monitor mode supported.
- Powerful wifi adapter (Alfa is recommended).
- At least one client is connected to the target router.
Probability/ Estimate Time (speed will vary depends on the PC's performance)
- WEP – Usually less than 20 Minutes – 99.9% Chances.
- WPA or WPA2 – Usually few seconds to forever – 20% Chances.
- WPS Enabled WPA/2 – Less than one hour – 50% Chances.
Countermesure
- Replace WEP with WPA2 authentication.
- Make use of complex WiFi password.
- Disable router WPS features.
- Make sure the firmware of the router is up-to-date.
- Turn off your router when it is not in use.
- Hide the WiFi SSID.
- Shorten the WifFi signal coverage.
- Turn off WiFi if using LAN cable can meet your requirements.
